Yard Sale Inspiration
I found these vintage fabrics at a yard sale a while back and they’ve been tucked away in my studio ever since. One of these days I’ll put them to good use, but in the meantime I thought I’d share them for a little inspiration.
Enjoy!

Wednesdays with Wally: Good Morning!
Check out this cute vintage creamer that looks a lot like me. It was gift from Aunt Verna, she thought of me as soon as she saw it. What a nice way to start the day!

Do you know Michelle from Find Your Balance Health Counseling & Yoga? Well, we think you’d like her. A lot.
The Ponies were delighted to meet her awhile back at a raw foods demo she did at Grand in Somerville, MA. Her approach to health and wellness is all about balance as her company name suggests. Her personal story is inspiring, as is her blog which is full of recipes, advice and musings on living a balanced life.
Don’t be intimidated by the pretzel like pose she is striking, she has something for everyone interested in feeling better. Like this post about ditching the microwave! I haven’t completely turned my back on this magical heating device but I am moving in that direction. Sometimes a little push, or a blog post, is all we need to start making a change.

Wednesdays with Wally: Paper Pups Part 2
Our Paper Pup this week is a lil’ lady named Hope. She keeps Jane company at her shop, Foxy & Winston, in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn.
Here’s what Jane has to say about her new addition:
“Meet ‘Hope’ our new 6 yr old Rescue Beagle who came to live with Simon and I one month ago. She comes to work with me daily and sits on the window on a bed of roses watching the world go by. Is she not the sweetest?!”
Yes Jane, she is the sweetest! If only they let Schnoodles ride the mega-bus to NY, I could come meet her in person. Someday…

Wednesdays with Wally: 20X200
If you haven’t checked out the amazing, affordable art on 20X200, now is the time! Here’s a sneak peek of some of my favorite prints.

Wednesdays with Wally: Paper Pups Part 1
Apparently I’m not the only canine mascot in the stationery industry. I know what you’re thinking, “But Wally, you’re the cutest, smartest and most creative paper pup around!” While it’s true that I am exceptional, there are some amazing furry friends I’d like to share the limelight with here on WWW.
To start off our series, here are the namesakes of a lovely shop in Portsmouth, NH called Gus and Ruby Letterpress.

The store features a beautifully curated selection of paper goods including custom invitations and announcements. They recently moved to a new location at 29 Congress Street, so stop by and say hello if you’re in the area. Or check our their blog appropriately named Paper Hounds!
NSS 2010 Roundup, Part 6 (the end!)
For our final National Stationery Show post, here are some shots of the Two Trick Pony booth, number 1641. We were very excited to introduce several new products including our 2011 wall calendar, gift tags, postcards and an invitation album. Thanks to everyone for stopping by the booth, we’re already looking forward to next year!

NSS 2010 Roundup, Part 5
How can it be July already? It seems like just last week that the ponies were hoof deep in all things NSS. Before you know it, May will roll around again and it will be time for the 2011 show!
Here’s another round up of some great booths we visited. Stay tuned for some pics of the Two Trick Pony booth tomorrow in our final NSS 2010 post!

Wednesdays with Wally: Mystery Treat
Check out the new treat Laurie Pony and Mr. Pony got for me at a local farmer’s market! The nice lady selling them asked if we wanted to know what it was made of. Laurie Pony declined, thinking it was better not to think about it. All we know is that it’s called a bully stick and it’s made of something called pizzle. How bad could it be… right? Bon Appetit!!

Mmmonday! "Cheese-frosted Luncheon Meat" and more great recipes...
There’s so much to love about this book I’m giving to Carrie Pony as a late housewarming gift. She’s just recently set up her backyard for grilling, so when I saw this in a “free” bin outside a used book store I knew it was meant for her. (First thing to love - it was free!) It was published in 1963 by Better Homes and Gardens.
Second thing to love is the many brilliant cooking tips like this one - use flower pots to serve your guests food in!
Third thing to love is the classic recipes, like:
Whopper Burgers
Rafted Weiners
Cheese-frosted Luncheon Meat
Peanut-buttered Pork Roast
On-a-Saber Beef
Texas Trail Cakes
Candy-Cooky Poles
Gosh and Golly Relish
and Tuna Mousse!
Yes, these are all real titles of the recipes found in this book.
And last but not least, who doesn’t love a spread that includes a couple of unidentifiable loafs?!
Happy grilling season everyone!
